Jungle Burning

Calais is a port city on the northern coast of France. The “Jungle”, is the name of one of the largest refugee camps in Europe. Refugees from the “Jungle”, most of them from Eritrea, Sudan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria dream of a successful crossing to UK from this part of France. Between February and March 2016 the "Jungle" was under attack by French police who started to "clean" the camp removing tents and trying to convince refugees to leave the area. Their extreme way to protest against the decision to bulldoze the camp was to burn their own shelters.
