ISIS at the Court
a project by Alessio Mamo & Marta Bellingreri

Iraq establishes a special court in Ninevah province to address a large number of terrorist cases related to former Islamic State fighters. In this Court, members of ISIS are interrogated by judges who will bring them to justice. It is situated in the Christian city of Hamdaniyya (Qaraqosh), liberated from IS in October 2016 by the Iraqi Army in the larger Battle for Mosul. The paradox is that in the same Court victims of ISIS come as well from Mosul to denounce what they have endured with their witnesses or proofs . Victims and oppressors stand in the same place to see the judges.
